The Story so far
Hi, I’m Katlynne—the plant enthusiast and artist behind The Leaf Lifter. This all started as a couple of hobbies I casually engaged in for several years. I've been taking care of houseplants and designing gardens for about 6 years, and painting for almost 10.
At home, I tend to a collection of over 100+ plants, each with its own quirks and needs. Over the years, I’ve grown my collection from basic plants I picked up at the grocery store to exotic plants imported from around the world. I've learned and tried different growing techniques and methods, created my own custom soil mixes, experimented with lighting and humidity. I’ve even built custom plant cabinets, designed displays for my prized plants, and created unique, hand-crafted climbing structures.
Painting is something I picked up my first year at college and I have loved growing in my abilities since then. I've played around with most mediums but very quickly found a special passion for oil painting. I've made probably hundreds of paintings in the 10 years I've been practicing- everything from small, timed pieces capturing a cloudscape to a massive, commissioned Cheshire Cat smile that glows in the dark! My favorite works to make are plant and fish portraits, dreamy cloudscapes with hidden details, and grand landscapes.
Live Art Services
I offer a wide range of plant services, including repotting, custom plant cabinets, plant maintenance, pest control, and outdoor gardening design. My goal with plants is to provide service that is both comprehensive and minimally invasive.
Fine Art Services
This website also features a gallery of my paintings available for sale, as well as previous work I have done. Commissions are always available and are a great way to collaborate on something special that you will be able to enjoy for years to come.

At The Leaf Lifter, my mission is to help create beautiful indoor spaces featuring original artwork and showcasing plants in a way that brings joy and relaxation to clients' lives. I believe it is important to share the passion I have for plant care and art with the world. Caring for houseplants is not just a hobby- it's a way of establishing a personal connection with life. Plants teach us patience, gratitude, integrity and humility. In the same way, art is not just a way to pass the time. Painting is a way to express a vision or dream, to explore and practice the important act of play and creation. The goal of my work with plants and art to teach others one simple thing: the enjoyment of beauty that changes and beauty that never fades.
